The Sick and Indecent (Indigent) Roomkeepers
I was recently in Dublin for a lacrosse tour, and fortunately I got to spend a day walking around the city before the mayhem commenced. I basically walked aimlessly around the city, and looked up at the buildings, something I normally do, to get a feel for the city. One of the more interesting buildings I came across was this one.

I looked at it for a while and didn’t notice the (what I would have thought) was a spelling error. What really drew me to it was the typography and the way that they used the whole building for the information. I can imagine lots of people walk that route every day and don’t give it a second glance, which is a shame.
I looked it up when I got home to see exactly what a ’sick and indicent’ roomkeepers is. What it turned out to be in fact, is an Inn, for the sick and indigent, the oldest charity in Dublin, founded in 1790. So a very worthy cause, housed in a very cool building. Have a look here if you want to find out more.
So next time you are walking your normal route, take a second to look up, you might be surprised.
